Rings and Caps

Sanding rings and caps for precision work.

These sanding rings and caps allow perfect sanding of shaped parts such as foundry or plastic injection moulds.
Their sizes and shapes are suitable for most hard-to-reach corners and allow for precision surfacing.

For high stock removal or meticulous polishing.

With grit sizes from P40 to P1200 (3M™ Trizact™ A16 grit) these sanding rings and caps can be used for heavy stock removal to very fine meticulous polishing to a perfect surface.

Suitable rubber mounts.

The sanding rings and caps are used with special holders with a 0.12 or 0.24in shaft.
These holders are made of grooved rubber on a metal rod. The sanding rings and caps must correspond to the shape and dimensions of the holders for a perfect fit.

Respect the recommended rotation speeds.

The rings or caps should preferably be used with adjustable speed polishing machines equipped with a clamp (or chuck) for 0.12 or 0.24in diameter rods.
The rings and caps should be used at the recommended speeds in order to obtain an optimal action on the treated surfaces and to maintain them perfectly on the expandable rubber supports.
