POLISHING DISCS combining flexibility and hardness thanks to their 3 seams.
These discs are an ideal compromise between very soft discs with a single central seam and very hard discs with 5 seams for better support. This range enables aggressive polishing operations as well as finishing work to be carried out.
A polishing paste will always be necessary to protect the discs from excessive and premature wear while considerably increasing the treatment power. The choice of polishing paste will depend on the final appearance to be achieved.
Warning: never use the same disc with different types of paste.
From 30 to 60 layers of natural woven cotton.
Made up of 30 to 60 superimposed layers of natural woven cotton, 3-seam cotton POLISHING DISCS are 10 to 20 mm thick.
They can be used on fixed workshop machines such as a reel for 20 mm bores, or with electroportable or pneumatic machines for 10 mm bore discs and 100 or 120 mm diameters.
Whichever installation solution you choose, our partner SPAP Soucille, which specialises in equipment for cutlery, goldsmiths' and decorators' workshops, offers specific adapter sleeves, Ø10 mm spindle rods and reduction rings to help you carry out a professional assembly.
POLISHING DISCS specially developed to offer excellent versatility.
With 3 holding seams, our cotton POLISHING DISCS have the rigidity needed for sustained surface treatment polishing, but retain a flexibility that also allows them to be polished or honed.
Of course, appropriate polishing pastes should be used, taking care never to apply several types of polishing paste to the same disc.
Essential rotation speeds.
Cotton POLISHING DISCS are used at speeds of between 2500 and 7000 rpm maximum, depending on their diameter.
We strongly advise you to follow the recommended rotation speeds for the type of material being treated, the type of paste being used and the expected end result. Often expressed in metres/second, disc rotation speeds must be converted into rpm in order to adjust or adapt the speed of the drive machine.
Beware of the reduction in polishing disc diameter caused by wear, which will significantly alter the useful rotation speed.

Several discs on the same spindle: it's possible!
With a thickness of 10, 15 or 20 mm, the cotton polishing discs can be mounted in series on the same spindle to increase the width of execution for large surfaces, and thus productivity.
